Borjomi Balneological Resort (Georgian: კურორტი ბორჯომი )– The most famous resort city far beyond the borders of Georgia, famous for its mineral waters and mild climate. It is a beautiful region situated among majestic mountains covered with coniferous forests, mountain rivers and mineral springs. The main attraction of Borjomi is mineral water, which is exported to more than 30 countries of the world. The remains of a 1st century bathhouse built of hewn stone have been found on the territory of the town, which is evidence that even in ancient times people used the healing properties of mineral water.
Local mineral water is used for prevention and treatment of diseases of gastrointestinal tract, metabolism, biliary tract and kidneys. You can also take baths with Borjomi water, which is indicated for cardiovascular diseases, problems with respiratory organs and nervous system. There are dozens of different springs, and each of them has its own unique taste and temperature. The central park of Borjomi is very popular. The most famous springs, attractions, fountains, forest paths are located there. Three kilometers from the entrance to the city park is one of the visiting cards of Borjomi, Sulfur pools (Georgian: ბორჯომის გოგირდის აუზები).
