Visit to Sameba Cathedral - The majestic temple, which proudly stands on the hill of St. Elias, impresses with its monumentality. The largest cathedral in Georgia and one of the largest in the world. The exquisite architecture of the temple perfectly combines ancient Georgian architectural traditions with modern solutions. The facades of the cathedral are literally strewn with decorations, arches and exquisite carvings. A beautiful view of the city opens up from the hill where the temple is located.
Visit to Metekhi Temple - On the elevated rocky bank of the Kura River stands the majestic Metekhi Temple. The temple is a testament to the rich history of Tbilisi, the architectural features of which reflect the style of Georgian Christian architecture, and its location on the rock gives it an impressive appearance and unique character. Next to the Metekhi Temple is a monument to Vakhtang Gorgasali, the founder of Tbilisi, which has a deep symbolic meaning.
Visit to Narikala Fortress - The oldest monument, a kind of "soul and heart of the city", a special value of the capital of Georgia, preserving its entire history. The date of construction of the fortress is said to be approximately the 4th century AD, that is, an impregnable fortress towering over the Old Town, the same age as Tbilisi. At different periods of time, the fortress was destroyed and restored. Its historical significance and panoramic views make it one of the main attractions of the city.
Visit to Abanotubani - A unique historical area in the center of Tbilisi, famous for its sulfur baths, which are located on natural sources of sulfate water. Built in the style of classical oriental architecture, the Baths are closed from above by semicircular domes with large glass openings in the center, which served as windows and illuminated the interior, since the baths themselves are below ground level.
Visit to Legvtakhevi - Part of Old Tbilisi is distinguished by its individual landscape architecture. From the high observation deck located at the entrance to the Tbilisi Botanical Garden, there is a view of the Legvtakhevi gorge, into which a 20-meter waterfall falls from a ledge of a rock. The artistic quarter zone with narrow streets, cozy cafes and shops of artists and artisans, is full of amazing wall paintings and unique charm.
Visit to the Sioni Cathedral - historically the main temple of Tbilisi, named after Mount Sioni and consecrated in honor of the Dormition of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The Sioni Temple is one of the most beautiful religious buildings in Old Tbilisi and is a resting place for the remains of the hierarchs of the Georgian Church. The main shrine of the temple is the cross of St. Nino, which is evidence of the birth of Christianity in Georgia. Sioni Cathedral was repeatedly rebuilt and reconstructed in different periods, and its architecture combines elements of different styles.
Visit Mtatsminda - One of the mountains around Tbilisi, called the "Holy Mountain" by analogy with the Holy Mountain of Athos. Mtatsminda is not only a place of magnificent views, but also a historical artifact, rich in events and changes. This is a place where every visitor can find something to their taste. The funicular is a railway. The 500-meter road allows you to get off in the middle of the mountain, where you can visit the Pantheon of Writers and Public Figures of Georgia, as well as climb to the very top of the Mtatsminda Amusement Park and enjoy the majestic panoramic views of the city.
Visit to the Tbilisi Sea and the majestic Memorial "History of Georgia", which is simply amazing. On one of the city hills, from which a beautiful view of the Tbilisi Sea opens, a unique composition of twelve sculptures was created. Each sculpture tells its own unique story, recalling important moments and outstanding personalities who shaped Georgian culture and identity. Visiting the memorial at different times of the day provides unique visual experiences, especially during sunset hours.
