Tsalka (Dashbashi) Canyon (Region of Kvemo Kartli)
Tsalka Canyon (Georgian წალკის კანიონი ) better known as Dashbashi Canyon (Georgian: დაშბაშის კანიონი ). The canyon, hidden in the greenery, attracts many visitors with its paradisiacal idyll and beauty. It is truly a treasure of nature and in Soviet times the canyon was included in the Red Book of Georgia as a monument of inorganic nature. In the steep rocky walls of the canyon in many places underground water seeps and falls from the height forming a kind of crystal curtains. These are not waterfalls in the classical sense. They are Hanging Streams – scientists call them that. The whole river below is formed almost entirely from this kind of springs. A natural monument located in the Algeti National Park, the Canyon is equally beautiful in winter and summer.
Visitors to this unique complex will find an impressive sight – panoramic views, beautiful landscapes, paths leading to cascading waterfalls, a cafe of original shape, located in the middle of a glass bridge at a height of 200 meters. Dashbashi Canyon leaves impressions of a perfect combination of natural beauty and comfort for visitors. Every step brings new impressions and discoveries. The charm of this place lies not only in its unique beauty, but also in its accessibility for visitors, the walking distance is short, which makes it attractive for all those who seek to enjoy the splendor of nature without significant effort. A walk through the canyon allows you to experience an atmosphere of tranquility and harmony with the surrounding nature. An ideal place to relax and picnic, where you can enjoy fresh air and pleasant shade.
