Chavchavadze House Museum (Georgian: ალექსანდრე ჭავჭავაძის სახლ-მუზეუმი ) – The luxurious residence of the Kakhetian princes – Chavchavadze in Tsinandali (Georgian: წინანდალი ), was built by the famous Georgian poet – Alexander Chavchavadze. Alexander turned the family estate into a cultural and intellectual center of his time. Throughout the 19th century, the estate was a true center of social life in Georgia. The best writers, poets and public figures of the 19th century gathered in the Chavchavadze Palace. Guests of the Chavchavadze salon were Alexander Dumas, Marie Brosset, Alexander Pushkin, Mikhail Lermontov, Alexander Griboyedov…….
The Tsinandali estate is a true masterpiece of construction art and a unique synthesis of architecture and nature. The unique garden, an interesting combination of natural and artificial landscapes, local and exotic trees and plants, makes a great impression. Tsinandali is the place where Georgian wine was first bottled. “White Dry”, “Saperavi” and other historical wines of the 19th century are still kept in the Tsinandali Wine Enoteca. The estate houses a museum with well-preserved interiors and artifacts of a bygone era. The balcony of the palace offers a stunning view of the Caucasus Mountains and the Alazani Valley.
