Goderdzi Ski Resort (Georgian: სამთო-სათხილამურო კურორტი გოდერძი) — The resort is located in the mountainous region of Adjara, on the Goderdzi Pass, at an altitude of 2350 m above sea level. Situated among beautiful mountains, the resort with its unique forests, well-equipped ski slopes and unique mountain culture is one of the best places for recreation. Heavy snowfalls from November to mid-April guarantee a long and reliable ski season. The snow here is of very high quality, which is a result of the unique combination of alpine and subtropical climate, and is a true paradise for skiers and snowboarders. The resort, surrounded by untouched forests and panoramic mountain views, is considered one of the most picturesque ski resorts in Europe. The snow-covered slopes of Goderdzi are especially attractive for cross-country skiers. The ski trails cross the alpine zone, dense coniferous forests and even villages.
The ski resort’s slopes are designed for beginners, intermediate and advanced skiers. The resort’s infrastructure includes an 8-seater gondola lift, a 6-seater chairlift, two T-bar lifts and four ski slopes. There is a children’s area. The total length of the ski slope is eight kilometers. The maximum altitude of the slope is 2,366 meters above sea level. Goderdzi is a year-round resort, popular both in summer and winter. In addition to skiing, the resort attracts many extreme sports enthusiasts. Hiking in the alpine and forest areas is especially popular – on foot, by bike and on horseback. The resort’s surroundings are rich in outstanding natural attractions. Among them, it is worth noting the Goderdzi fossil forest – one of the most unique places in the world, as well as the Green Lake. The Alpine Garden, located near the resort, has a rich collection of native plants. In addition, guests have the opportunity to enjoy the local healing mineral waters, which adds even more attractiveness to the resort.
